🔍 The Hand

K♦ K♥ K♠ K♣
Player B (Hand B):
A♠ Q♦ Q♥ 10♥
Board:
6♠ 7♠ 8♠ 9♠ 10♠

🔬 Step-by-step Analysis
🟦 Board Alone
6♠ 7♠ 8♠ 9♠ 10♠ → 10-high straight flush
This is an incredibly strong board. In Omaha, you cannot play the board unless your two hole cards don’t improve it.
So: if neither player can use two spades from hand, they cannot make a flush, and must go for other hands.
🟥 Player A Analysis (K♦ K♥ K♠ K♣)
-
Only one spade (K♠)
-
Can’t make a flush or straight flush (needs 2 spades from hand)
-
Must use two Kings + three board cards
-
Best possible combo: K♦ K♥ + 10♠ 9♠ 8♠
➡️ One pair – Kings
🟩 Player B Analysis (A♠ Q♦ Q♥ 10♥)
-
Only one spade (A♠)
-
Can't make a flush or straight flush
-
Best 5-card hand: Q♦ Q♥ + 10♠ 9♠ 8♠
➡️ One pair – Queens
🏆 Final Result
-
Player A: One pair, Kings
-
Player B: One pair, Queens
✅ Winner: Player A
🔑 Key Insight
Even though the board is a straight flush, neither player can use two spades from their hand, so flushes don't count. The hand comes down to one pair vs one pair.
