Daniel's world of fun

Daniel praying for change |
Taking the stance that the key to poker's success is a "collective effort", Daniel suggests that pro players should engage in a symbiotic relationship with their goals and the "greater good" of the game.
Essentially, Daniel envisions an ecosystem whereby the game is "fun first and a competitive endeavour second."
Moreover, he believes poker should be "a world where players think about what's best for everyone first, understanding that in the end they will benefit from that as well."
Daniel certainly has a point when it comes to making the game more attractive for recreational players; however, some will likely feel this is an impossible dream when money is on the line.
Another potential chip smuggler

Chipped up Chan |
According to a number of sources, three-time WSOP-C ring winner, Chan Pelton, was caught trying to take a $25,000 chip after winning Event #9.
Although he claimed the chip was intended to be a souvenir, many believed he was too experienced as a player for this to be the case.
Citing recent incidents of chip smuggling, some observers believe that Pelton's intention was to use the chip in the festival's Main Event.
Opinions on the matter are currently divided, but at present the Kennel Club Casino has frozen Pelton's winnings pending further investigation.

Despite not promoting his illness too much, Chad recently blogged about his condition after his weight loss prompted people to ask if he was ok.
According to the post, Chad has undergone five surgeries, various forms of chemotherapy as well as a number of other treatments to try and beat the cancer and, as it stands, he can only sweat the development of a new drug.
While describing the illness in poker terms might seem crass to some, Chad feels that his circumstances are not only best described in poker terms but dealt with in such a way.
Still playing the game at a high level, Chad wrote that the "swings" of cancer are much like the swings in poker and, even if things don't go his way, he knows he's made the "correct plays".
Question of the Day

It was another a relatively tame day at the virtual felt yesterday and, by the time the action had dwindled to a close, 'yurasov1990' was left atop of the daily leaderboard. After grinding through 981 hands the online pro managed to rake in $50,794 to finish ahead of "steamraise" and "thecortster".
Finishing the day with a deficit and claiming the dubious honour of Monday's biggest loser was 'PimpyLimpy'. Despite playing 1,201 hands, the high stakes regular managed to drop $70,858 and lose over $15,000 more than his closest rival 'JLlama'.
